A little disappointed

I started off loosing about a pound day and now I have not lost a pound since Jan 27. I have heard about the plateaus but I was not expecting one this soon. So I am asking myself what am I doing wrong? Am I eating to much? Has this happened to other people? am I worrying for nothing? Kandy 254/231

That's not a plateau (plateaus are when you don't loose for 4 or more weeks), it's just a stall. Your body is just playing catch-up from the rapid weightloss. Stick to your surgeon's program and it will start coming off again. I did the same thing between 4 to 6 weeks post-op. You're doing great! Try the weightloss planner the next time you feel you're off track: http://www.obesityhelp.com/morbidobesity/postopplanner.phtml Hugs, Erika L

I agree with Erika. You will start up again. Just try to relax but stick to your diet plan. If you quit eating your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose anything. Protein, water and walk walk walk. good luck. Carol

Ditto to what the others said! You body is readjusting to your new way of eating and wants to hang on to what it has because it is thinking you are starving. Be patient, follow the plan and walk as much as possible or you are comfortable, exercise helps the metabolism. Amy

Kandy, Sounds like a pretty normal "slow down" to me. But my question to you is, Why are you weighing each day? My surgeon told me not to weigh myself very often - maybe once a week or just when I go see him. In any case, don't let this little "stall" worry you! Vickie
