Hi Amy!!!!!!! Nice to se you are back. Please update us on how you are doing... We just had a M&G back on January 22, so I'd say 2 months from now. I know Amy B. posted a date, I researched her last posts, but could not find the exact date. I'm sure she will read this post and answer you soon. As far as the fat grams, I don't really know the number, but I try to get my stuff not onlyhigh ptotein, low sugar & carb, but also low fat... I just had my 6-month anniversary and I am down 64 pounds... Let's get together some time soon! Vivi (Flávia)

Hi Amy, Welcome back! How are you doing? How's the weightloss and exercise coming? We were wondering about you. Hope you are progressing well. ViVi is right, you just missed our last M&G, it was last Saturday and we had a great time. The next one won't be until March 26th. I am working on a new location or possibly an activity or picnic. Depends on the responses from the group closer to the date on what they want to do. As far as fat grams, Dr. Overcash told me get the 60g minimum of protein from food (not shakes or bars) and then focus on good carbs (veggies and fruit) and to not stress out about how many calories or fat grams. That seems to work for his post-ops. Take care, Amy -143lb.

Ruth, The Central FL Meet and Greets are something a few of us started last June to get to know each other from this board. It is NOT a support group meeting, but rather an informal gathering for anyone on the FL board who wants to get together to share their pics, advice, suggestions, recipes, books, clothes, etc. We hold them every other month. The next one will be on 3/26. We have been having them in the foodcourt at the Altamonte Mall, sounds like an odd place, but it is convenient, offers a variety of food/drink selection and they dont care if we get too big or too loud. Typically, about 25 of us get together thruout the afternoon (12-4pm). People bring their friends, spouses, kids and we have a great time for several hours. These are for anyone interested in WLS, pre-ops or post-ops. Again, this is not anything affiliated with a specific surgeon or OH.com, just a bunch of us getting together. Maybe you can make the next one. Amy -143lb.

There is a meet and greet in Altamonte mall every other month, in March the place is still up in the air. Amy is our wonderful planner for these informal meetings. There are a wide range of people that attend, people learning about surgery, pre-ops and post-ops..oh and support people. We sit around and talk, share stories and pictures...in the past even done a clothing exchange. Dawn B. use to plan monthly meetings around Orlando, she had surgery in Sept. I believe so those meetings have been put on the backburner right now I think. I personally go to Lake Mary and Altamonte one, Ocala is too far to drive for a monthly meeting, well for me it is.
