Well I'm getting closer and closer to a consultation date. I had to go through A LOT to try to get my PCP to send my records to the surgeon's office, and once they did, they didn't send everything. However, I did manage to get someone else to send the records the surgeon's office were missing. I have definately become very aquainted with Shirley and she is a sweetheart! SOOO hopefully by the end of this week or beginning of next, I will have my consultation date! HUGS Kim

Kim, If you need any of the records from your PCP, you can go there and request a full copy of your chart, they have to give it to you by law. They might charge you for making the copy but they must give it to you. Hope everything starts going better for you. Chris

I wi**** were that easy. My PCP's office doesn't copy the records themselves. They contract it out and if I were to get my own records it would cost me $1 per page and takes 2-3 weeks.

Kim: I had my consult last January with Dr Thoburn and had my surgery March 16. Once Shirley has everything she needs for ins approval she will schedule your consult. Then Dr T will do a letter with your package for the ins approval and surgery will probably be 6 weeks upon the approval. At least that is the way mine worked out and others with me.
