Ted, I had surgery with Dr. Overcash in Ocala on a Thur. and that next Tuesday I was at work for 1/2 days till Friday and Full time after that. It is very possible to be back at work in a couple weeks. I had no problems and I think that helped alot. Good luck Margaret

Ted, I had my surgery on a Thursday and went back to work on Monday of the following week. (11 days later). I also have a desk job and it was no problem at all. It's very easy to do if you are just sitting. Good luck, Jan

Hi there Ted. Although I had my surgery (open RNY) with Dr. Overcash - also of Ocala, I was out 2 business weeks. I'm an Admin Asst and I didn't have but 13 days left of my vacation. I calculated everything so that I could be back at that time. I had the 2 1/2 days in the hospital, and then I made sure that just before the 2 week mark I had an appointment so that I could have my staples taken out and got a return to work order. A lot of people knew of my surgery so I got help and I didn't have to lift a finger but I was still functional in my job duties. Of course, this was all because I didn't (Thank God) have any complications. You can plan for the best but then life has it own way of happening. Hoping for the best to you!!
