HELP I AM NOT FEELING GOOD AT ALL
Thanks in advance for any responses I get from this..
~~~OK HERE GOES~~~
I am 6 months post op & last night I woke up with a sharp pain between my rib cage, right where my stomach is, it felt like someone was stabbing me over & over there. I was in so much pain that I went to the ER.
#####They did an X Ray and blood work came back & Dr. said my Liver and Pancreases are inflamed & that the blood work is abnormal confirming & meaning that there are some levels that are too high & they confirms there is a problem with my liver & pancreases.#####
The doctor that did the surgery is 15 hours away and I did call him today and he said that I need to be seen Monday at 8 AM.. Now I feel like crud and I am not going to be in a car hurting and feeling like I do for that long of a period. I am going to go to a local Immediate Care place that will hopefully refers me to someone real close in my area that has experience with the surgery and will see me, I have Florida Medicaid and Doctors taking it are so hard to find.. So I am going to write these down so if anyone has a clue or has experienced this please write me back!!
This is the blood work report area that he said were abnormal ~
THANKS SO MUCH !!!!! ROBIN
Robin,
Have you had your gallbladder out? Usually when your amylase and lipase levels are elevated that means you have problems with your gallbladder and it's right in that area. I have had mine out and believe me, that pain is horrible! Anyway, just a thought. I hope you get to feeling better soon!
Take care,
The hospital where I work, that Lipase would have put you in the hospital. Look up acute pancreatitis on the internet. First of all eating will make it worse. Where I work they put you in the hospital for a few days and give you IV fluids untill it is better and you can eat again.
It can be caused by gall stones blocking the pancreatic duct causing the pancreas to get inflamed.
If the pain continues and you are unable to eat go back to the ER.
The CO2 is probably because you are in pain and not taking deep enough breaths to blow off the CO2.
The SGOT/AST is a little high, I have seen patients with those in the thousands.
Your real concern is the pancreatitis. Research it on the internet.
