So I was called to jury duty. The second day..yesterday..I had to sit for jury selection for a trial. Now I have to say I usually try having a total stranger sitting next to me on the left since my pouch tends to make noise..as most of you are familiar with. So we are escorted into the courtoom, where you can hear a pin drop. It was 10:30 in the morning and I was fine until after hour lunch break. So we are reseated in our assigned seats where I am right in the middle of everyone. And my pouchie starts talking. First it was just a mild girgle here and there. Got to thinking I wish I could be standing and walking around. Nope have to sit in that seat. My pouchie and her friend the intestines begin their work. I am sitting there making noises like I am going to spew any moment. A few people glanced over at me. Of course I could not explain this to anyone since it is total dead silence. The good thing was that I was not chosen as a juror and will not see these people anymore. But, what a day. At first I was embarrassed but after a while it really did not bother me anymore. It could have been worse..I could have gotten a bad case of GAS! Char

I hear it all the time. Most times others do not hear it unless you are in an extremely quiet enviroment and standing close to me. It reminds me of a bubbling cauldron. Bubbles, girgles, some sounds like when your stomach growls. Occurs most shortly after you eat or drink something. I am a pharmacy techinician and it is quite common for the pharmacist and I to stand close together and look at the same computer moniter. Or one of us is standing close by counting pills or something. I drink coffee all the time and you can hear pouchie and friends digesting the coffee..lunch, snack of whatever. If I have not eaten or drank anything recently it is not a problem. When hubby and I attend fancy dinners and such I always make sure he is seated on my left. Char

I'm so glad you have a sense of humor about it now. I'm sure it was horrible at the time. As much as you are glad you didn't have any gas, I bet your juror pals are even more happy that you didn't ! Amy

They probably would have evacuated the entire courthouse thinking someone had let off a stinkbomb..hehe. Gotta love being a post-op! Char
