rolando, thanks alot for all your information. it means alot that there is people willing to give all that info out there.. i heard you were knew to wls website i still havent had surgery i am in all my pre op process and doing all my test and waitng for my approval so im almist there but lemme tell you this web site had been a life saver it is wonderful... thanks again, jennifer

I went to one at Jackson but I wasn't impressed...there was only 2 other post-ops there along with myself, but none of us had surgery there...2 of us are seeing the WLS for follow-up procedures. The pre-ops were pretty quite...the facilitator just asked us to say why we were there and for the pre-ops why they wanted to have surgery. Of course everyone said for their health, I shared that nothing was guaranteed with surgery...you could trade health problems...and just shared my situation...I told them it was a decision everyone must make for themselves.

Hello Jenniger, if you go to Miamihope.com and click on support groups it will tell you when and where the meetings are, they are always at South Miami Hospital, in the Victor E. Clark Education building. The next one is January 27th @ 7pm and it is about medical issues related to GBS and then one in February 24 @ 7 related to plastic surgery. That is how my hospital back in Ohio did their meetings...there were topics and a presentation for the first half and discussion for the remaining. Is that a Thursday?
