I Finally Met Rhonda!!

I had the busiest day you can imagine, but about 3 p.m. I finally got a few minutes to run over to ORMC and find Rhonda. I also met her mother and I think I'm older!! Rhonda and her mom were both so nice and Rhonda was in a fine mood, having just gotten a dose of pain meds after walking up and down the halls! We were just enjoying our little visit when Dr. Jawad came in to D/C her, so I had to excuse myself and leave, but it was a wonderful treat for me! I'm sure Rhonda is going to do very well. She's motivated and understands the commitment she's making and she's ready to go!! Congratulations and welcome to the losing side, Rhonda!!!! Jan

Dr. Jawad came in to discharge Rhonda. He sees all his patients every day, but since his patients only stay one day normally, he was just coming in to go over a few things and give some last minute instructions and then get the ball rolling to get her out. Of course, just because he made rounds at 3 p.m., she probably didn't leave the hospital for another couple of hours!! Nothing happens very quickly in a hospital! Jan
