Well as of today I am back on my BP meds...it is higher then before surgery now. About 2 weeks ago I started having vertigo spells, thought it was an infection...so I didn't worry much about it. The spells didn't happen often so I thought it was over til yesterday...I had 8 spells. I went to a walk in clinic and they said oh you have vertigo, well duh I knew that. I got antivert and since then I have gotten worse, falling into walls and such. Well I went to my PCP's partner today and my BP was 145/105 and I have vertigo...knew that. I can't drive til I don't have a spell for 24 hours, I had over a dozen just today. This completely sucks, I am starting school again next Tuesday and I can't even drive myself there. They don't know what has caused this or when it will stop. I have been feeling really great recently and now this has put a real damper on things. Tracey -101

I would call my surgeon asap if I were you. Your pcp's office might not recognize your symptoms as a side effect of your surgery. It could be a B-12 def., low potassium, or something more serious? Take Care, Erika L

Did they check your labs. Erika is right, you might have a electrolyte or vitamin deficiency. Prayers going up for you and I hope your docters can figure this out.

Tracey, I agree, remember when Marta was having her fainting spells and it was b-12 related. You need to have bloodwork done and call Madeline or Overcash toot sweet. Let me know if you need ANYTHING! Amy

YIKES Tracey.... Driving in Florida is Bad enough without feeling dizzy! I hope they get to the bottom of this pretty quickly! I agree with the others, sounds like you are just getting half-a^^'ed treatment. I would suggest you find your PCP to get you a blood/urine work up pretty quickly. You've done SO well....maybe with all the weight loss it's time for a full physical. You've been so concentrated on the weight thingy--the rest of your body deserves the best also! I am on 5 blood pressure pills a day & am SO looking forward to getting rid of some of them ...my surgery date is 1-20. Every time I started a new pill...or restarted....I felt dizzy also. Hugs there to ya! Stay on it with these dang docs. Sometimes you have to really pressure them! Gail

My vertigo isn't from the BP pills...I started them again today. I have had vertigo for over 2 weeks. But good news is I haven't had it happen since I took my first BP pill and did all the stuff he said such as drinking more water then 64oz and gargling with sal****er for the potassium I assume. I did change my B12 2 weeks ago to B-complex with B-12 Sublingual liquid...before that I was taking just B12 which Dr. Overcash said I needed complex like 150's from publix which made me sick cuz they were too big. My centriums go down good thank god. I feel I am getting good treatment where I am, and don't have to pressure anyone. Right now they are more worried about my high BP which makes sense to me, cuz I don't want to have a stroke. I will touch base with Dr. Overcash tomorrow, see what they have to say. Tracey -101

Hey. I have had symptoms of what my doctor thinks is vertigo for almost a week now. He thinks it is from a bad sinus infection- but I don't. My whole body feels rubbery and so dizzy. I have been more dizzy than if I had been drinking! (which I hardly ever drink) I am not on any meds except for an antibiotic and my BCPs. My blood pressure was 118/82- so it isn't that. They have no idea what is going on. As you know I am still pre-op and I do take multivitamins and b-12 supplements. what the heck is going on in central fl that everyone is dizzy??? I have been so dizzy- I went to Target today by myself and I got so dizzy I had to sit on the floor until it passed. I also got very nauseated. Who knows. I hope your dizziness passes. Let me know if you find anything out. Kim
