Tampa Wish Center

I'm going to the seminar tomorrow at 6:30 just wondering if anyone else was going? Also I'm trying to decide which to go with Dr Murr at Tampa General or the Wish Center in T & C? I have my new insurance United Health Care Choice plan so I need to start checking to see if they'll still cover it for me. Any Advise? Jennifer

The best way to find out if they cover the surgury is to call them and ask them. They will tell you exactly what the policy reads and if you need to precertify.

Hello and good luck to you. I am 10 months post and lost 145 lbs. I have been working very hard am am now 180 and am trying to stop losing weight. The tampa wish center is ok when you are a new patient but as far as follow up appts I didn't appreciate the fact I went for my 2 week follow up and after being there for 2 hrs and seeing all there other people,dietician,phyc,exercise etc etc I was told it would be another 2 HRS before the doc could seee me. I then went out in the front lobby and saw a room full of new patients. I have never been back and won't go back.

HI Jennifer: I had my surgery last July and am down 120 or so, I'll weigh in again Thursday night at the support group meeting. Will you be there? Dr Dietrick did my open bypass and I think he is tops! I adore the whole WISH Center and have been treated like a queen. I can't believe how much better life is. Hello Jennifer, I am going thru the Wish center also. The seminar is really informative and you'll enjoy it. The thing I like about the wish center is that they prepare you for 2 months before surgery so you have time to get used to living like a post-op. They are super nice there.
