Terri I am so sorry you are having such a hard time. You will be in my prayers. As a matter of fact I have already said a prayer for you. I know god will answer all the prayers he is getting on your behalf. You will find a path to help you through this. Your liver is working at 100% now so you have time to figure out the best options and do whatever you have to do.

Terri Keep the faith! God never closes one window without opening another. Just try to stay focused and positive. What the mind believes, the body can achieve! You have the love and support of many here, riding this wave with you so if you ever need a shoulder or a ear, feel free to email me at any time. Blessings, Sandy

I'm sure you're in a dark place right now. I had gastric bypass in 2000 and then in 2002 had to have double mastectomy. At first all I could think was........."I lost all this weight only to get cancer and die???" But then I had the double mastectomy and the cells were all contained and I was fine. If I hadn't had WLS I wouldn't have had a physical and by the time I noticed a lump it would have been too late. So, even though I did get to have WLS I still sort of understand how you feel. If you hadn't gone in for WLS it may have been too late once they discovered your liver disease. It's true - God does have a plan even though it doesn't always seem like it. You are on a great message board here and can get some awesome support if you have to lose down to a BMI of 36 on your own. I know you can do it. OR It may be that your docs will get together and talk and go ahead with surgery. Don't give up - there's a rhyme and reason for everything. Hang in there. I'll be praying for you. Hugs, Rona

I am sorry to hear of your predicament. I know that God has a plan for everyone and I am no where near smart enough to figure out His way of thinking, but I do know that He only has good intentions for His people and there is a reason that it went this way for you. I know it must be very difficult for you right now and I sympathize. I am sure your emotions are raw and I could never have the right words to make you feel better so I will not even attempt to think that I can give you a magical word to make it all right.I will just say God Bless you and I will pray for you.Lana

Terri, I to have chirrosa of the liver. I had WLS 8-10-04. My doctor does a biopsy on the liver as standard practice. So we didn't find out until 3 weeks after I had surgery. I have done great and have had no problems. I will be praying that you can have the WLS. I know it will help you. I'm sorry you have to go thru this, I will keep you in my prayers. Love, Mary

Terri, I can only imagine that is a pretty crappy place to be right now. But, you really have to move forward, don't give up. This could have been a blessing from God. He has a plan for you and you need to keep doing everything you can to be healthy. If that means surgery, then the surgery will happen...just don't give up. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us posted on your progress. I hope you are feeling better soon. Christie
