Pain in abdomen

Hey there- I am almost 5 months post op- lap RNY- and I am having a lot of pain on my upper left side, where the new stomach is. I will see the doctor in a week but I wanted to see if anyone else has had this pain. It isn't constant but really hurts when I go from a sitting position to a standing position or lay on my left side. I don't think hernias form that high? I already have a hernia near my belly button and it feels different. Has anyone else had this pain?

I was concerned over pain in the area you describe. My surgeon told me I would likely feel this discomfort until about 6 months out. Still, it will be to your benefit to see just what your doctor says. LuvitsunnyV@goal
