Fun day
Today I saw my two closest friends, I have known both for over 5 years and met them thru BBW functions in Florida when I was active in those. They had never met each other because Tricia now lives in NC and Helen and I live here in the Orlando area. Anyway, we all met in Celebration today for lunch and shopping and had a blast! We actually stayed so late in the day, we wound up having dinner too (not that you can call it a meal since we all eat so little).
Tricia is only 3 weeks post-op, Helen is 4.5 months post-op and I am 6.5 months post-op so we compared scars (Tricia won that contest for least obnoxious), hospital stories and WLS issues. It is so funny how we are very comfortable sharing stories of our bodily functions now, prior to surgery I never did that
.
The three of us are going on the Bypass Buddies cruise in September so we chatted about how to spend our time in New Orleans, the cruise itself and which excursions we all want to do together on the cruise. So far we decided we are flying in Saturday morning before the cruise and flying out Monday night after the cruise. Excursions are still up in the air, although I told them I really want to do one of the ATV tours and I have to buy "boat loads" of silver in Cozamel. Anyway, it was a great day of bonding and I am so excited that they got along so well. That's silly, why wouldn't they get along, they both have moi
!
Just had to share my fun day,

See there is life after bariatric surgery.---glad to see you having fun--how much better it will be when you level out and reach your goal weight.
keep up the great job and super attitude.

Yes, I have 1000x more energy than before surgery. The last time I went shopping at Celebration, I had to stop every 10 min to sit down because my back hurt SO bad. Today, I walked and walked and kept thinking how blessed I truly am to have been given the gift of surgery. If I stopped losing now, I would be frustrated but I would also be so grateful that my quality of life has come full circle, especially with my back pain virtually gone.
I think that pic took almost a month to get posted on here, I had to send it in twice and of course, I can't see it yet just like the last time
. I'm down even more now, but I think I'll wait on sending new pics for a while since the photo team seems to be overwhelmed these days.
Thanks, Carol!
Love ya,

Funny you should say that. I met Kathie L. this week because I was her angel and she came all the way to Ocala for her surgery, so of course I visited her. She remarked that I needed a new picture because I don't look like the one you've all been looking at.
Then today my assistant's daughter came into the office while I was also there. She hasn't seen me since my surgery and I noticed she was staring at me HARD, but I couldn't figure out why. I knew she was not feeling well, but all that staring was kinda strange, even if she was feeling sick. Anyway she finally worked up the nerve to say very quietly, "wow, you look sooooo different". A light bulb moment! I realized she had come along with her mom to visit me, and the last time she saw me was in the hospital (not my best moment).
Anyway, after saying all that, I promise to work on getting a new picture up.
