Finance through The Wish Center
Hello
Does anyone on here know what the requirements for to get finance through the wish center? My husband UHC Ins have a Dam exclusion and i'm going to need some kind of help to get the surgery through loans hopefully. We originally had Aetna Ins with no exclusion, and then his company decided to switch insurance in Dec 1, while i was in the process of seeing the surgeon. I'm so upset cause i wasted 6 months during a supervised diet with the nutritionist, which i payed $150.00, and seeing the Psychologist for $380.00...

I agreee w/ Tianna you should consult a lawyer. There is a lawyer in NY that post on these boards also he is a WLS patient also. I have looked at his website. It seems like he would consult w/ you for free & if you decide to retain him it would be $250-400. something like that. You really should check him out it could save you from financing a fortune. I believe since you were already in the process Aetna might have some liability.
Good luck,
Carolyn
I looked into it as I am a Wish Center patient.. I decided to get a home equity loan because I am a full time pre-med student and didn't qualify for the employed part, but here is a copy of the email I received from the wish center's finance person:
Anyone can apply for financing. Please review the criteria below.
Thank you so much for your email and your interest in The Weight Intervention and Surgical Healthcare (WISH) Center,
There are several basic requirements that must be met to be considered for financing:
You must be employed
You must have a minimum monthly income of at least $2,000
You must be current with your financial obligations
You must have a reasonable debt to income ratio
If you have further questions about financing the surgery, please contact me at one of the numbers listed below.
