My turkey is thawing as we speak. Took it out of the freezer last Saturday. My shopping is finished. I am about as ready as I get. Christmas is not my favorite time of the year.

Tonight I am dealing with a bout of insomnia so I must be stressed about something, wish I knew what it was . I have been up since 2am, but have done a load of laundry, wrapped packages and cleaned out the car. So at least I was somewhat productive. Regarding the holidays, I need to finish wrapping, then I am done. I started shopping earlier this year, so I actually can relax these last few days. We celebrate on Christmas Eve and Chrsitmas day is just a day for noshing and relaxing after brunch. I wont be doing any cooking since I go to my parents and they have everything taken care of this year. We always have Honey Baked Ham and lots of side dishes. I'm in charge of picking up salad and bread sticks from Olive Garden so my neice gets one of her favorites (breadsticks) so I suggested to my mom that I get salad there for our big meal. I wont be able to have any breadsticks this year , but I will enjoy the garlicky smell and have some salad and ham. So for me, it's been an easy holiday season, except for stress at work and trying to get things wrapped up so I could take nearly two weeks off. Have a wonderful holiday, Tina! Amy
