Anyone w/ Type 1 Diabetes had the surgery???

Hi! I am new here and am considering gastric bypass surgery. I have my first appointment with the surgeon's office on January 4th to see if I qualify. I have Type 1 diabetes and wear an insulin pump and I was wondering if there was anyone who has had the surgery and is an insulin dependent diabetic also. My main question is how to treat low blood sugars after the surgery b/c I read that we can't have any sugary foods and if so, how would you treat a hypoglycemic episode? Thank you to anyone who can assist me.
