Hi everyone, well its been a long time since I have posted...I am having a hysterectomy done 3 weeks from today and I was wondering if any of you know what the healing time would be with it before I move on to getting my WLS....as some of you know I owed Spectra some money and it is finally going to be completely paid off come january after a bunch of set backs then I can start moving forward...but how long will I have to wait after my hysto is done...the hysto is set for Jan 5th...wish I could have had the dr do both while in there...would love to kill 2 birds with one stone....anywhy...also do any of you have any advice on a quick recovery from the hysto....will do anything to feel better quick and get moving on the WLS....hope you all have a wonderful holiday...hope santa is good to all.... April, I dont have any advice or idea about recovery, but I wanted to wish you lots of luck with that surgery and hope you have a speedy recovery. You have a wonderful holiday too. Amy

April, I had my hysto done in 2002 and I was out of work 8 weeks, went back part-time the 9th week. Took me months to fully get my energy back. BUT I was no spring chicken and this was my 3rd abdominal surgery (2 C-Sections) so my belly was full of scar tissue and weak muscles. So don't expect your surgery to be like mine. Good luck! Vickie
