how often does the support group in lakemary/altamonte meet?

hi ....i was wondering how often does the group meet ? where do you meet ? i saw that the next meeting will be in jan . but i will be having wls on the 19 in fort lauderdale so i will not be able to make that meeting . but i would really love the chance to meet and get to know other people in the area that have gone threw this or are going to . anyone that could give me some info i would be thankful. everyone have a good night . tina

Tina- I do not have any info on the support group. But I wish you luck with your surgery. Who is your surgeon?

Tina, The next Central FL Meet and Greet is on Saturday, 1/22. Just an FYI this is not really a support group meeting, but rather a gathering where we all get together to chat and share experiences. It is very informal and unstructured. It started last June so we could meet each other face to face and has continued since then. Right now, we meet every other month, the third Saturday. Usually 20-25 friends join us and we have a lot of fun. The Lk Mary support group meets monthly (but has been cancelled this month). They meet the third Tues each month at 7pm. There is also a support group meeting at Celebration that meets the second Wed each month at 7:30pm. Hope that helped. Amy
