Stopping by to say hello~
Hi everyone!
I haven't been posting, I know. I am just now feeling better. I am finally sleeping normal and feeling like a human being again.
I am having struggles with eating, but I have faith that it will work out. I have an appointment with a nutritionist tomorrow. I know she will be able to help me out.
In the coming months you will see more and more of me on here as I am on the mend. I will also be out at local support groups to tell my story (to anyone who will listen). I mean really, mine was not a simple case. So I want to be able to share this with people.
I will probably post a lot of info on my page soon.
I hope everyone is doing well!
I promise to come by more often!
Marcie:
I just read your profile. I am not sure what type of wls surgery you had but my dr started me out on clear liquids, then regular liquids. After week 2 I went to soft foods, grits, oatmeal, puddings, jello. I did not get anything to "eat" that I had to chew for almost a month. The first month was concentrating on getting the fluids in my system. Protein came a little later.
I had the nutritionist in touch with me prior to surgery and daily after I got home. They helped me stay on track to make sure everything was working correctly. It is not unusual to have a little problem as your body is adjusting to the shock of what you have done to it.
I have had "bumps" in the road during my journey but after loosing over 110 lbs I can honestly say it has been worth it. I have never regretted the small problems.
Keep positive thoughts, it will get better.
