Curves
Kallen,
Because they are franchised, you'll need to call the location that you are interested in directly to check out their hours and specials. The few near me are all owned my the same person and their hours are whacky so I opted to not join. I do know that if you sign up (yes, there is a contract of some sort), you can save on the monthly fee if it is auto deducted from your account. When I called, they were running a special and the sign up fee was 50% off. I think the monthly fee was around $25-30 versus $55 for the YMCA. Most people that I know that go, really like it because it is easy, short and a no brainer. Who knows, I may consider them again down the road.
Good luck!
Amy

Kallen, I just joined Curves on Dec 1st. I have been going every night right after work and enjoy it. Like Amy said...it is a no brainer!! It takes 30 minutes to do the workout (around the circuit twice). I have seen a variety of ages at Curves and the people who workout there are very nice and friendly.
