One week post-op appt today

Saw the surgeon for 1st post-op appt. Lost 13 pounds since surgury. I was still having alot of pain but have weaned myself off the pain meds. I was thinking I am lactose intolerant. The md asked if I had been taking nexium. Told him no. Found out he forgot to give me a script for it on discharge. He said it is normal to have pouchitis..(as in gastritis). Well I took the Nexium and switched to Lactaid. Sipping a protein shake as I type... no pain. whoooo hoo... the simple things in life.

13 lbs. in one week isn't too hard to take, is it!??! Congratulations! Yes, the little things in life are nice!!! Jan
