Mix Up need some input
Somehow there was a mix up at Dr.Overcash's office and they thought I had taken the nutrition class already. I have surgery next week so they scheduled it for the day before. The problem is I have no idea what I am supposed to buy before I have surgery. Can anybody who has taken it help me out here? PLEASE
Julie,
Are you referring to what you need to buy for the nutrition class or for the hospital or for after surgery? You wont need anything for the nutrition class except the fee, the dietician will give you the dietary manual in your class. If you needed more info than that, let me know. I had surgery in June with Dr. Overcash. I go see him tomorrow for a follow up.

Not sure what your MD does but I had surgury last week, most of the things you need you can get at a grocery store for the first week with the exception of liquid protein. I got 8 bottles of isopure from a health store. I only used 4. You will want sugar free popsicles, sugar free jello and broth. Water or no calorie no carbonated drinks. But the first week all I wanted was the water. It was hard to get the protein in. For a meal the first couple days home I had about an ounce of broth, half a sugarfree popsicle and one or two spoons of jello. So you don't need much of anything.
Good luck....prayers are out to you.
