Adjustable Gastric Band on 03/24/10
Hi everyone! I'm hoping someone can help me out. My husband is being transferred to the Orlando area very soon and I need to find a great surgeon for my follow ups and adjustments. Hopefully one that does adjustments under fluoroscope. If you could also tell me what your insurance is and how much you have to pay out of pocket for office visits and fills it would be greatly appreciated. Right now we have insurance that is only available in NY so we're going to have to switch when we get there and we know nothing about the insurance companies in Florida. I think I'm more stressed about leaving my wonderful surgeon behind than anything else about this move! She is perfect and I love her staff. From start to present they have all made this life changing event so smooth going for me and I am going to miss them all so much.
So if anyone can offer any advice I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks in advance!

I was banded by Dr Jawad, he has a office in Orlando, where he does fills. I can't help you with the insurance question because we are retired military and have tricare.

Dr Robert Marema is my rny srugeon and he also does bands. I'm on the Empire Plan for NYS employees. It has been accepted since 2009 without any issues. You might find you have coverage until you get your FL insurance.
