Okay, I am a huge movie buff (all of my friends call me MiniBlockbuster as I have about 1500 dvds and 3k tapes)! My favorite show is also the Charlie Brown Xmas, and I have 3 fave Holiday movies: National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, Dolly Parton's Smokey Mountain Christmas--don't laugh, it rocks!!! And my alltime fave is The Family Man! -Phoenix

I'll never get tired of "It's a Wonderful Life" or the original "Miracle on 34th Street", but I love "The Family Man" for a modern Christmas movie, but even more I guess I love "Love Actually". That one just takes the cake!! Jan

My favorite Christmas movie is "A Christmas Memory" it is based on a Truman Capote short story. It is about a young boy (Buddy) who lives with a couple of straight laced aunts and a really crazy elderly cousin. Geraldine Page played the cousin. The cousin and the boy make fruitcakes for seemingly everyone who she has ever met. The story is set in the depression era south and the setting reminds me so much of going to visit family in rural Georgia when I was growing up in the late 50's and 60's. It is a wonderful story, but it makes me cry everytime I see it. It is usually on TV somewhere, sometime during the Christmas season, but you have to look for it. There was a remake -- but it lacks the warmth and charm of the original. Plus Truman Capote narrated the original which gives it an air of authenticity.
