Possible Delay

Well I had my final surgeon visit to today before my surgery next week and the upper GI shows "thickening of the lower part of the stomach where possible ulcers could be. Now I have to go on Monday to be scoped so they can see whats going on. He tells me if its ulcers than they must be treated first !! I am so worried now that I wont have my surgery Wed Morning as Scheduled.

Elaine, Hang in there and be patient. I know it would be frustrating and upsetting if your surgery was delayed, but you also want to be in the best health possible going into surgery. My surgery was delayed because I had to have a heart cath done that turned out to be a procedure that was completely unnecessary. It was a false positive caused by my boob being smashed during the heart cath procedure which created a shadow on my stress test pics. I laugh about it now, but it was heart-breaking then but I remember everyone on here being adamant that I move forward with the heart cath and not panic. You'll be in my thoughts. Good luck Amy

Hang in there Elaine! Better to find out now if you have ulcers and get them taken care of, before your surgery. Then you can go into your surgery with all the lose ends tied up and ready for your new, healthy life! Vickie J.

I know the feeling Elaine. Some of my pre-op bloodwork came back abnormal. Hang in there. I'll keep sending positive thoughts your way!
