Pre-op bloodwork abnormal

All of my pre-op tests are complete but I had two of my tests come back abnormal. My potassium is too low and my white blood count was slightly elevated. My potassium is too low for surgery, so they are calling in a prescription today and I go get tested again next week. I take two diuretics a day to help controll my blood pressure. This is the first time my potassium has come back low, he tests it monthly anyway because of the diuretics. My white blood count should be no higher than 10.5 and it's 10.6, which is just slightly elevated. I have no idea what to do about that. The doctor said it could be anything, that I was fighting off a cold or some other small infection in my body somewhere. I have until December 8th to get these issues cleared up or my surgery will have to be postponed. Please say a prayer and wish me luck, I'm kind of freaking out.
