PLEASE HELP! W/ MEDICAID ISSUE
PLEASE HELP!!!!
My sister -in-law is obese and paralized on the left side ( from a childhood injury) she is confined to a recliner or a wheel chair. She is in desperate need of this WLS and she only has medicaid ( i am assisting her now to get medicare and this is a ongoing battle ) I myself am in the process of waiting for my insurance approval. Is there anyway I can help her. Does anyone know of a doctor that does accept medicaid in either Sebring, Lake whales, Brandon, Miami or even St pete area.
I know that if she was able to find a local doctor or even a doctor that was willing to take medicaid she would be so happy
Thanks for all your assistance.

My husband Omar and I went both have Medicaid and our surgeon is Dr. Raul Rosenthal who is located in Ft. Lauderdale. The hospital he is with is the Cleveland Clinic. They have a website and a section about the bariatric program.(www.clevelandclinic.com)
Omar has lost 310 pounds (surgery was 4/2003) and I have lost 63 pounds (surgery was 9/2004).
Good luck to you SIL.
Sincerely,
Dawn in Orlando

Thank you for taking the time to comment on the cleveland clinic. She went to the cleveland clinic and had a very bad experience w/ a doctor there. A doctor there I will not mentioned his name on here, informed her that why should she have this operation if she is going to be paralized for the rest of her life. What does she expect " a miracle" she left there in thears to never return again. If there is another doctor there that you can recommend i will provide her w/ this info.
