Question of the Day
I use to love the day after thanksgiving shopping. I use to go shopping with my grandmother , mother ,cousin and myself . It was a very special time for us to bond and make special memories . We would all meet at our grandmother's home . She would have Breakfast waiting and we would all go over our list to figure out where we were going to start ...we would be out the door by 7 am and most times not return until late in the night . we would drop off all the gifts at her house and make plans to come back the next afternoon for our wrapping party . we would spend all of saturday afternoon and evening wrapping and laughing and eating home made turkey soup and thanksgiving left overs . Everyone had fun just spending time together . we would all sleep over and go to church in the morning together . after church we would all have sunday dinner at grandma's house and watch either "It's a Wonderful Life " or "miracle on 34 th street " . By the time we all left to return home we were all reminded of how blessed we were to have 5 generations of family to enjoy and love . there are not many people that can say that they had dinner with their great great grandfather ,great grandparents , grandparents , parents ,cousins and other family ...but my children can .
I dont shop anymore on that day because i have moved to flordia and left all my family in chicago . I stay home and enjoy the day with my husband and kids . maybe now that my oldest will be 20 right after x-mas i can start the tradition with her . Thank-you amy for reminding me of how lucky i was to have that time with my family .
HI! I'm not sure yet, last year I was. I went to Best Buy at 500am!!! I never get up that early --- but I did find great deals... DVD player on sale for $20.00 then mailed in rebate -- ended up getting it free. 3 DVD movies for $5.00. They had some awesome deals. I will probably wait to decide until I go through all the ads on Thanksgiving day....even if there isn't anything on sale -- I'll probably go anyway -- I love shopping -- espcially this time of year...all the crouds..holiday music playing!!! I love this time of year!!

Absolutelyl!! I'm one of the nuts in line at Best Buy at 2:30 A.M. I, too, am NOT an early riser but the deals are just too good to be missed. We've bought computers, LCD monitors & big TVs at amazingly low prices and since our son wants a laptop for Christmas I'll be there or at Circuit City - which ever has the best buy.
