OH the Pain!

I agree, call your doctor asap and describe the g tube to him. I had back pain in my lungs too, but was told it was from being under anesthesia. It went away after a couple weeks, but there were times it hurt bad!
My dear angelette, I will keep you in my thoughts and PLEASE let us all know what the doctor thinks.

Hi Johanna,
I too had redness around my G-tube. I went in to see my doctor and thankfully it was "normal irritation" red, not "infection" red. But only your doctor can make that call, so please call him/her. I had to drain my G-tube several times a day. When I drained it, my abdominal and even shoulder pain went away! My back pain was helped by changing positions frequently. VERY frequently.
I hope that you feel better very, very soon!
Kristen
