Hi everyone Well, in less than a week my G-tube will be yanked out...I can hardly wait. I wanted to let everyone know that I am still doing well, down 30 lbs., packed full of energy, getting plenty of protein by mouth (I've wheened myself off of the g-tube;o)...things couldn't be better. Now that I am on soft foods, EVERYTHING has stayed down just fine and I'm still complication free. And, even more odd, I seem to do well with stopping eating before I get full. So, in the midst of all this elation, can I tell you I'm really freaked out? I heard so many stories of folks who did well with this surgery but had little annoyances or even complications here and there, something didn't go down well, etc. I'm glad to have been this lucky so far {knock on wood} but maybe I was the placebo surgery for Dr. Jawad that week Don't get me wrong, I'm happy but almost afraid this is too good to be true, like it's too easy. Danielle -30 lbs.

Congratulations and your success. I am one that had some minor bumps in the road but I have not changed my mind. It was a wise and good decision for me. And as you add foods to your diet you could experience some little issues. Some days the food will agree with you, a week later the same food does not.

I know how you feel. Some days when it is doing so well, I wondered if I actually had anything done in side. After all I didn't feel any different inside. I have been on soft foods for a while now. It is a little different. Sometimes I eat something a little too fast and just doesn't want to stay down but that has been my only problem. I feel I have done very well and hope I continue. Just eat slow and chew chew chew. Sometimes I make myself nervous when I eat just worrying if I got it chewed up enough. It is all great though and you will do wonderful. Keep up the great job. Carol

Danielle, I ask myself every other day if I really had surgery or not. Then I take a look at my stomach that still looks like it's healing from where the schrapnel hit it, and I'm convinced surely Dr. Jawad did something!! I have had no problems with anything either, but I also have stuck to the straight and narrow and have done exactly what I was told to do with no experimentation at all. I'm so glad you're doing GREAT!! Congratulations on a FABulous weight loss!! 30 lbs.!!! Whoooooo Hooooo!!!!! Jan
