Pre-Op Testing on Tuesday

I have all of my pre-op testing except for the chest x-ray completed on Tuesday. I'm nervous!! The chest x-ray was clear, so that part is done. My EKG and all of the blood work is tomorrow. I've been taking vitamins for a while in preparation for surgery, and I just had a bunch of blood work done over the summer so I'm not really worried about that. I'm nervous about the EKG! Once I pass all of this testing my surgery date will seem more real because these are the last of the hoops I have to jump through. My surgeon also is one *****quests no artifical fingernails or polish. I took my acrylics off today so that by early next month they won't look rough or yellow, and so I can get used to not having nails. This is the first time in almost 8 years I've not had acrylic nails and it feels so weird! My boyfriend looked at my hands and told me I had man hands now!

Isnt it nice to have all that testing over with? Once you get your date, you will feel a huge sign of relief. You'll be a "loser" very soon

Congrats on having all the fun stuff done. Don't feel bad about the nails you can have them put back on after surgury. I had to take mine off over a year ago. My job said no nails...so I have man hands all the time he he he....See you on the losing side soon....
