Anything fun planned this weekend?

Just curious what you guys are planning for the weekend. Today, my mother, sister, niece and I go on our annual day trip to start our Christmas shopping and have lunch. We've been doing this since I was a toddler and we used to take the train into Chicago, havent missed a year yet. This year we are going to Mt. Dora since we havent been there in years and are having lunch at the Lakeside Inn. Then tomorrow, I am part of a mock jury for a family friend who is an attorney, he has a big trial coming up and needs some people to "play" jurors for a couple hours. That should be an interesting experience. They are paying me and it's only for a couple hours. Beats cleaning the house Have a nice weekend. Get out and do SOMETHING fun! Amy

Sounds like an interesting and fun weekend. Roger and I will go watch the Ohio Buckeyes play. We meet with the alumni association at Chula Vista Club in The Villages. Not sure what will happen tomorrow. I think my son and Daughter in law are planning a visit.

Miss Donna, I have to ask... Do you own a golf cart? I think there are more of those than cars in The Villages . I drive through there when I go to see my surgeon in Ocala. I have a friend who played football for Ohio State, then played for the NFL for 16 years, he is a diehard plus he gets to stand on the sidelines at their games, not in the stands. And it looks like his son is going to go there on a football scholarship next year. He is sooooooo proud. Have a fun day! Amy

LOL we have two golf carts!!! Very seldom do we use our car. So neat that you know a former player. Do you know that Jim Tressel is coaching the north team that will play in the Gridiron Classic Jan 15 here in The Villages?

I'm from Ohio...how are the Buckeyes doing this year? Wow...I usually only followed them from watching the news. And for some reason the news down here doesn't follow them as much.

Not so hot this year. Two loses but last weeks win guarantees them a bowl game. GO BUCKS

Hi Amy, hope you have lots of fun in Mt. Dora, it is so beautiful there... How nice that you get to see your mom and sister. My mom lives on the other side of the planet, I only see her once / year. Yesterday was her b-day, I sent her a little movie of me and my little one singing hapy b-day to her. I hope she likes it! Let me know what u order at the Lakeside Inn!! (lol) since surgery, I never know what to order at restaurants. I read about your episode with drinks.... So sorry, maybe with more time you will be able to tolerate drinks a bit better. Oh, I have nothing planned for the weekend, I'd love to go out for some sushi and a good movie (not a cartoon!!) but single moms don't have much of a choice... So I'll clean the house, do some homework, and take my daughter to a play date! Sun morning we have horse back riding and then back home for some more house cleaning! -Flávia

Today I am going to a dinner theatre to see Showboat. That will be an all day affair. Tomorrow I have a nephew coming over to install a new clothes dryer as the old one died last Sunday and then it is laundry time for me. Also a birthday party for a nephew who will be 10 and Church. When I put it down, it sounds really busy.

Hi Amy, well my big plans for the weekend will be cleaning house. I've got to get it all done before I have surgery a week from Monday. I am getting more excited by the day, realizing that this is actually going to happen. I have the weekend by myself, everyone else is out of town. So, I also rented several movies to watch when I'm not cleaning. Have fun on your holiday shopping trip, it sounds like so much fun. Wanda

Next Saturday we are leaving for NY....not the city, a small town south of Buffalo called Cuba. Hey it does have a Subway and a McDonalds, so can't be that small huh?
