Did you ask the Dr himself how many lap band surgeries he has done? I drove 4 hours to have my surgery done by him because of his excellent skills and reputation. And of course my insurance covered it. I had Dr. Rosenthal for Lap RNY and he had done over 1,400 surgeries. His office staff told me he had loss his very first patient in May due to a blood clot. That's pretty amazing for doing so many surgeries! I had no pain from surgery(except my back) and no complications. I had surgery (Sept 8) a Wednesday and came home Saturday morning! I'm two months out and feeling great! He's a wonderful surgeon!
