I am almost in tears as I post this. I'm soo afraid this is too good to be true. I have had the easiest time with this surgery...no complications yet-I don't want to jinx myself. I am about 4 weeks out and have lost a whopping 23.5lbs.!!!! I don't know if this is good but it sure seems like it to me, I've never lost that much weight in just about a month-AND IT"S NEVER COMING BACK. Saturday I was cleaning out my closet and I fit in my JUNIOR prom dress!!!!! I've been feeling so tip top, I go for a walk at 10AM's with the ladies here at work during our break and I walk in the evenings with my son. I've been feeling so great I average 2-5 miles a day total; haven't been out of breathe, my legs/feet have not hurt. My only complaint is still this G-tube that is still sore on the outside but even that is getting better. There are so many people I am grateful for right now and can't thank God above enough for leading me to this surgery! Danielle

Danielle, I am so glad that you are having such a great experience with your post-op weightloss. I think your 23.5lbs is right on target! Keep up the great job at exercising and maintaining your positive attitude, you are going to be another WLS success story! Amy

Danielle, I am so happy for you. I know this is an exciting time for you. I am right along with you on the weight (22#) so I think you and I are doing great. I am also walking a lot. I didn't have a G-tube so I don't know much about them but you sound like you are doing fine with that too. Congrats on getting in the prom dress. Isn't it neat to go back and get in things you haven't worn in a long time. I know your little boy is so happy having mommy out walking with him and he doesn't even realize the importance of that. All this means you are going to be healthy while he grows up and you will be there to watch and guide him. You have it made now. Keep in touch. You are a very special lady and have done something very wonderful for yourself. Keep up the good work. Carol

It's great to see that you are doing so well. I can't relate to the G-tube thing because I didn't come hoem with one. This surgery is a great tool but you will only get out of it what you put in. It is great to see that you are working hard at your new life. I think the best part is that you can go for a walk every night with your son. kepp up the great work. Brian

Thanks Brian, Jan & Michelle. You are all such an inspiration to me and it means so much to have you come back and show so much love and support. And I hope you know I'm equally happy for all of you. Look at Brian, about ready to kick that insulin for good! Jan's literally walking all over Ocala every day without giving it a second thought. And Michelle, no news is good news. Way to go guys!
