Question: Has anyone run across a polyp in some portion of their intestines during the UGI/BE tests that were run during the pre-surgery process? What happened? Is this info that is passed on to the insurance company? Will it effect their approval in a bad or good way??? I have lots of questions; don't know anything about this possible wrench in my process. My theory: cancerous or not, just take it out while you're in there! Please share your thoughts! THANKS!!!

I had a colonoscopy and they found polyps. They were removed and tested and were not cancerous. This had nothing to do with my open RNY in March 3 weeks later. The colonoscopy was because I am over 50 and was a test I needed done and decided to get "every thing" checked before any surgery so there would not be any surprises.
