hi everyone.... its been...

hi everyone.... its been a while since i have posted. i had to share this. i had surgery march 9th of this year and was 291 size 24 (3x) morning of surgery. Today I went to Nordstroms at lunch and am a size 12 petite. What is so funny is that i never knew i was a petite. I had to laugh. I am now discovering that I have shoulder blades, and a waist and a figure. What joy! Imagine being 50 years old and finally finding your body shape and size! I feel great and am up to running 3 miles daily and 5 on sunday. Life is good.

Nice to see you back on the board. And your weight loss is great! Ain't life grand!

Congrats on the weight lost and I know you must feel funny about the "petite" thing but I think it is wonderful. I also am 50 and just had my surgery 3 weeks ago. I am anxious to see what my body shape is. I have been over weight most my life since the age of 10 so it will be fun to see. I can't imagine RUNNING at all yet but I will be waiting to see. I already have more energy than I have for many years. Enjoy the new life. Carol

Cyndi, Congrats on the weight loss! I'm also 50 and hoping to be where you are within a year. I have difficulty walking so the idea of running just blows my mind!! Keep up the good work! Vickie J.

While I congratulate you on your wonderful loss, I would appreciate it if you wouldn't rub the Nordstrom shopping spree in my face. First of all, we don't HAVE a Nordie's in "SlowCala" and secondly, I gave away several of my finest Nordie purchases away on Saturday. Seriously, I'm dreaming of the day when I can go shopping in Tampa at Nordie's again and try on some Size 12 petites too!!!!!! I love that store! Jan

Cyndi, I got your email, and if you reread my post again, I hope you see I was TOTALLY kidding about being offended by your mentioning Nordstroms!! I love that store and you are so right that their customer service is out of this world. In fact, I just mentioned that to a friend about 2 days ago!! The last time I went I found a saleslady and asked her where the fat ladies' clothes were. She not only told me what department I needed, she escorted me there and shopped with me for a couple of hours and got me some alterations on pants and a dress that were too long. Since then that same woman sends me mail with HER name on it, telling me about sales and such! I wish I lived closer to a Nordie's, but it's either Tampa or Orlando and both are a couple of hours away. You are all my witnesses - when I get to goal, I want to go shopping at that store and buy a St. John's suit!!! The quality of their clothes just can't be beat! It's BY FAR my favorite store!!!! I was NOT offended by your post - I just drooled a little!! Take care, Jan
