I recieved my surgery date...

I recieved my surgery date today, and guess what??? I'ts next Wednesday the 10th. My doctor had a cancellation. I'm a little freaked, because I wasn't expecting it to be so soon, but I figure being nervous for a week beats being nervous for a month Anyway, I just moved to the Orlando area (Apopka) from Ocala, and I am in despirate need of a support group. Does anyone know of one? Thank you in advance. Dru

Dru congratulation on your surgery date. I got mine in 3 weeks from approval to surgery date. I will be at the pre op thursday also.. My date is nov 9th 6:00 am.. Dr jawad has a group in Ocala and they are going to be starting a group in Orlando in January 2005.. My wife had her's by Dr Jawad 29th July 2003 and she is down 102 lbs...

That is awsome... I was hoping for a fast date like that and had to wait a month... but time is going fast 3 weeks for me...Congrats...

Hi Dru!!! Congrats on the date! I'm kinda freaking out too, see my posts a few below this one! Be glad you have less time to sit and worry. I wish I could have gotten a quick date. You are very lucky!!!!

Congrats on your date! There is a small support group in Lake Mary and you just missed our Meet and Greet this past Saturday at the Altamonte Mall where many of us from the board get together to meet and share support for each other. We are creating a great network of support on this board. Please keep us posted on your surgery and watch the board for more info on support groups all around. Break a leg ~ Amy
