Hi Girlie! I was on the "Last Supper" diet plan prior to surgery and gained 12 lbs in about 6 weeks. My friend is having surgery on 12/06 and her surgeon requires two low carb protein shakes per day and one low carb meal (4oz meat and veggies) for two weeks prior to surgery. I thought that wasnt unreasonable, plus you can determine which protein shakes you hate early Take care, Amy

I was on an all-protein diet. No carbs, no fruit, no veggies, just meat, chicken, fish, eggs, cheese, etc. The weight fell off of me!!! Good Luck, Erika L

My doctor put me on one pureed meal a day, so that I could see what the portions and textures were like. Also to reduce the chance of a fatty liver and open vs. lap RNY. Breakfast = 1.5 ounces of protein, 1 ounce of dairy, and one once of fruit. Lunch & Dinner = 1.5 ounces of protein, 1 ounce of vegetable. Kristen
