HI, i have the above insurance and I've done everything all I have left is my cardio release thurs. and fri pulmonary clearance...and last but not least my sleep apnea..I hope to have all submitted to the insurance co by the 2nd week in November..praying I may be approved by December... has anyone had the above insurance pay for the surgery.....please respond...thanx and keep me in your prayers...

I am cigna ppo... sorry, but they said it {lap--band} was experimental and no way where they paying..so i am going self-pay... hope you can get them to help you... gloria

You might want to go to the main board and post this, there is a Yahoo! group called cignasqueakywheels or something like that. Anyway, it's a group of people who have dealt with Cigna and have lots of information they share on how to get approved. I have UHC so I don't know that much about the group other than it comes highly recommended. Good luck!

Cigna PPO approved me last week for laproscopic RNY. I was formerly declined for Lap Band, because they will no longer cover that.
