Hi everyone! Just checking in since I'm kind of hit or miss these days. Still doing great...grown to love and hate my G-Tube...it's a fine line between love and hate, I know. Losing weight like you wouldn't believe, well, ok, so maybe you would believe it I wanted to invited any Pre-Ops to take a look at my profile since I've updated it to include my full surgery/post-op account. JUst some positive info. Things really are going great, couldn't be happier. Went to see The Wiggles Live on Sat. with my son in Tampa and we all went to the beach yesterday. What fun! Life sure is a blast these days. Thinking I'd really like to go to the Meet and Greet but don't see it happening that day-sorry Amy & Jan My only concern right now...I keep cheating, I get on that scale every day It's really encouraging me even though it's supposed to be a bad thing. Sorry for rambling but wanted to post SOMETHING?!?!?! Hope you are all doing great! Danielle

Sounds like you are doing great! I have to admit, I am really envious that you have been able to get out and about. I am just now getting fully active after surgery and mine was 5 days before yours. The pain had been way too bad for me. As far as getting on the scale everyday, have someone hide it from you! Then tell them to allow you to check just once a week. Also, concentrating on something else other than losing the weight will help. Take Care!

Danielle, You sound like you are doing great! Keep it up ! So sorry we'll miss you at our Meet and Greet, but I know that is quite a drive for you. Before surgery, I didn't want to be a slave to the scale either, but then I bought one because I was too big for the ones at Publix or even at my PCP office and I didnt know how I was doing. Now I get on it pretty much every other morning and it does help keep me focused on staying on track. I guess if I weighed myself more than one a day, I could say I was obsessed, but right now it helps me with my routine. As a matter of fact, I already weighed myself this morning and I lost another 1.6 lbs...woo hoo! Amy -106lbs.

Danielle, I'm also sorry you won't be at the meet and greet, but it's understandable. It would've been fun though!! I will now weigh myself once a week, now that the frequent rechecks at the surgeon's office are done. After the first month the rate of loss slowed down a bunch anyway, so once a week is plenty since I won't be planning to see much movement now. The good news is that when the G-tube site heals, I can join a gym and take water aerobics! I'm so glad you're doing so well, Danielle!!! Keep your spirits UP!! Jan

Thanks for all the encouragement. My name is Danielle and I'm a scale-a-holic, BUT I have not been on my scale yet today I'm very fortunate to be doing this well, I admit. Danielle
