Needing Advice Urgently!

Hello to all! I need urgent advice, please I have had a cold since Oct. 9 and I took some meds like the first 2 or three days into the cold, since I was approved for surgery I stopped drinking anything except my daily vitamins and I still have a cold. Actually now I'm getting these bad headaches everyday, and I'm just overproducing alot of mucous! AHAHAHAHAHAHaaaaaa! I'm just feeling like a bugger! Laugh if you want to but give me some advice while your at it please! Feeling not too good, Johanna

It's been over two weeks, call your PCP and see what they think. The headaches could be from all the congestion or a sinus infection. I think you should get something to knock it out of you. Call your PCP!

I agree with Amy, call your Dr. Also, take cold meds, it's ok. Just take something like Tylenol Sinus/Cold. Anything like that and make sure it has an expectorant in it to help drain your sinuses. Don't get the ones that dry you up because sometimes they cause worse headaches (I used to have horrible sinuses, so I learned these things). Also, drink your fluids. Get as much as you can tolerate into your body. Flush that cold out of there! You have to get yourself healthy. Let us know what your Dr has to say! Take care of yourself!

You could be getting a headache from caffeine withdrawal if you stopped drinking coffee or caffeinated sodas. I hope you feel better soon. Jan

Thanks once again to you all! I went to my PCP today and he gave me antibiotics and a decongestant! Thank God, I called my surgeons office to ask if this was going to affect my surgery date and I gave them the names of my medications. They told me they'd return my call! Let's see what happens. I don't do coffee or sodas haven't had a soda in about 4 years, Thank God, and coffee makes me dizzy so I stay away also. Thanks again, Johanna
