If I was still in Florida or had a way to get the dog here, I would! I just love dachshunds! I have one very spoiled one. His name is Merlin and he's almost 7. He is also black. Sorry to hear that you have to give him up. I think Merlin gets lonely and I get the itch to get another dog all the time.
