Waiting on approval- still
I feel so helpless. I have completed everything that has been asked of me and I have waited and waited and still no answer. I have always been the kind of person who does whatever is needed to get the job done. Now there is nothing for me to do!!!! I need to feel like I'm doing something productive.
Jo, who is your insurance carrier?
Maybe we can all offer some advice since all of us have different carriers around here.
I have UHC. I called everyday to customer care. It took a total of 3 weeks, but it would have been shorter if my info was faxed over in time. Still, the following up with them helped. The reps would send the file to a manager to find out why it was taking so long.
The more you stay in contact with them the better. Remember, you pay for your insurance and you have a right to call them and make sure they are on the ball!
It will work out, just keep on them.
hi jo, call everyday, be a nusiance (i think i spelled that right) ... and if they tell you that they are waiting for additionally informaiton -- ask them what and then go to the doctor and say this is what has been said. sometimes they may be missing 1 thing. Good luck, and make sure to call call call, I called twice a day and sometimes I got the same answer but eventually I got my yes.
