Thanks Flavia (I love your name because it's the same as my boyfriend's mother and we just call her Flay) It is comforting to know that other people hurt like I did, although I wish they didn't. I was honestly worried that I was being an idiot and should be running around by now. I am glad you are doing well!

Hi Marcie...sorry you had such an experience at TGH. It will get better from here on out I hope. Thanks for the information about the recliner, I don't have one and acutally I don't even have a comfortable chair...I can already see I will have a problem with down sofas..am seriously thinking about buying one after reading this. Why so much pain if you have meds? I would call also if you are in pain. I am sure the Dr. would want to know.

Hi Ginny, If you can get a recliner, do so. I wish I had one right now. Mostly to sleep in. I can get myself sitting on the couch fairly easily. You can probably even rent one from Aaron's or Buddy Bi-Rite or one of those places. I did some thinking about the pain today (which is starting to go away). First, I got a late start with walking around in the hospital because I wasn't allowed to move due to the possibility of the blood clot they thought I had. So I was on bed rest for 3 days except for going to the bathroom. Also, gas does play a role in pain. It comes and goes. Lastly, when you lay on your bed or anywhere that you are laying straight and then get up, the pain can be difficult for a little bit. All in all, I figure I am just getting a later start on moving around than others.
