Support Groups in Brandon Area??

I'm having surgery tomorrow in New Port Richie, which is a long drive to make monthy. Does anyone know of a support group in the Brandon area? Thanks!

Hi Jodi, I also am in the Brandon/Riverview area and was wandering the same thing. I know that there are a few in the Tampa area, but so far haven't found any here. Let me know if you do. My surgery is Nov. 30th. Good luck and I will keep you in prayer tomorrow. Terri

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow. I'm hoping to have surgery if everything works out with my doctor (primary care who views surgery as a quick fix) and my insurance. I work in Brandon off of Falkenburg Rd., so a support group in the area would be wonderful. Take care and you'll be in my thoughts.

Hi Jodi, Congrats on your wls tomorrow. You will be in my thoughts. I go to Dr. Murr's support group it meeting. It meets the 3rd tuesday of every month. 2nd floor at the rehab center at Tampa General Hospital. I love the group of people there. It may be to early for you but this tuesday the 18th there is one. We would love to have you join us. even if you don't join this support group i really recommend finding one. I find them to be very theroputic (sp) Good luck shay

My friend kim was telling me about a group that meets called Freedom from Obesity i don't remember all the specifics but it is in south tampa in a church or something, which is not too far from Brandon. To me the drive is worth it if the support group is good. You should email Kim Nalepa and ask her about it. good luck Jenny
