Recieved a call from my HR person today telling me that Aetna has delayed it's move to not cover WLS until June 1, 2005. Not sure if that is because our renewal is then... but could be good news for the rest of the folks out there on Aetna.
I wonder if Aetna is taking a wait-and-see position on Medicaid's decision on WLS. I know Medicaid/Medicare sets the tone of what all insurance companies will cover. I sure hope it's a positive sign!
I have also been told by my HR Dept that our WLS exclusion won't kick in until Aug 1, 2005, as that's our next Aetna renewal. However, they won't give me a "definite" answer...they're still researching....sheesh!
