Help/Aetna wants more
Aetna wants office notes and not just a letter. They want the detail and it's spelled out on their website that a letter is not enough, they want the actual work product. If you give them what they require, they will approve you without a problem, but you must jump through all the hoops and there's no getting around them.
Good luck,
Jan

Happy B'day!! I guess I was lucky, other than the time I met with a nutritionist as part of Dr. Murr's pre-op I have never seen one. I am 23 and hadn't seen a doctor since I was 19 in college so I submitted notes from college where the doctor talked to me about going on Xenical, my ob/gyn notes showing I was over weight at 18 and then the only doctors notes I had since then started in Jan this year for 6mos and I got approved the first time around. I know my doctor was really good about documenting that I was following such and such a diet and she would document that she was asking me to try a new diet. I sent in copies off all of her notes even one time when I went for a sinus infection, if went I would mention my diet and get weighed so it would count. Hope any of this helps!
