Question and good news

First my question is, can anyone recommend a WLS friendly Psych here in Jax? I need to go ahead and get that done. Second...I got my paperwork in the mail from Dr. Thoburn's office. Well part of it at least, she said to watch for two packets, and I have only received one so far. Yesterday I went to my annual with a new obgyn, I was nervous,I mean who likes those appointments. I was also worried he would be down on WLS etc...boy what a shock I got. He was a great Dr and very much for WLS. He even told me if I wanted to come in and talk to him about it I could. I was floored!! I also picked up my bday cake today.

There is a local deli in Fernandina Beach that makes THE BEST desserts! They have this coconut cake that is out of this world. I am hoping it will be my last!

First of all, Happy Birthday! I wish I could help with the psych but I live on the oposite side of the panhandle. I sure know of a good one in Pensacola though, too bad you aren't over this way. I'm sure though that someone can direct you to a good one over that way. Blessings, Wanda

Thanks Wanda! I just found out I won't be on my husbands insurance until the beginning of next month, but hey, that's just a couple more weeks away. I've waited this long...

hi kim, I went to Dr. Torrellas 904 296-2999 -- however, I did have to call and follow up several times to make sure that my psych evalv was sent to dr thoburn (I did wait intitally, that was my fault, i had decided for about 2 months that I wasn't going to have surgery) -- but he let me know right then that he was going to recommend me for surgery. coconut cake sounds REALLY good, coconut doughnuts with milk mmmmm-- my surgery is scheduled for 10/18 -- I might have to stop off this weekend and get 1 or 2

Thanks Rebecca! So you're using Dr. Thoburn too? Cool! Could you tell me about how your experience has been so far? I got the one packet of info from them today, just pretty much saying what they said on the website, with the copies of sample letters. Do you know what the other packet is? This coconut cake is the best I've ever had, and I'm not really a big coconut eater.
