I am having the worst moments in my life. When I was 322 pounds I was the happiest woman on earth. Not because of eating I thought I was the BOMB diggity. I wore two piece bathing suits for full figured women and so forth. I took pictures and looked good doing it. Not because I say I looked good because people said I was rather attractive to be a BIG woman. I have lost 125 pounds and I am sad as hell. Do not get me wrong I am happy to be smaller and healthier. But I have been in a depressing mood for days. When I look at myself I see skin and more skin, sagginess after sagginess. I am a single mother and plastic surgery is not a option because money is not flowing like that. INSURANCE is a whole different subject. I had insurance when I had the surgery but just started a new job so pre existing health issues insurance will not cover. Well I cry myself to sleep at night. I am so sad when I go to bed. I went to sleep the other night and woke up on my back with my hand on the middle of my chest. Guess what, NOTHING that is what. I have no breast now. I went from a DDD to nothing. SO if I do have plastic surgery which I can not afford I will need implants or something. I am just unhappy. Just damn unhappy!!!!!!!!!!! CLOTHES do not mention that. I have none. I can not afford to buy clothes. I went from a size 32 to 14 now. I am miserable. Sometimes I say why did I do this now I should have waited. I was not ready to buy new clothes or have plastic surgery. DAMN!! excuse my language.

Antoinette: I think you look incredible . You heart is thanking you everyday. When you reach your goal weight buy an outfit a week. (With the money you are saving from buying food) Are you going to support meetings? If you are not I will join you if that will make you feel better. Did you do your surgery through US Bariatrics. I believe they offer counseling. I was told negative thoughts and mood swings are common. You made the right choice at the right time!!

I had the surgery at Florida Medical Center. I do not go to support groups because the one I was going to was kinda not really support just chat aboout the same junk. Not very friendly to me. Well I have to figure oout something. Thanks for the support. I guess I have not looked for another group because of working like crazy. I am going to the Obesity Walk on the 23rd so maybe I will find some support groups or something there. Thanks again

Antoinette, I missed our Obesity Walk up here because I had friends in town, but I think going to that is a GREAT way to make some new WLS friends. You may have to do a lot of mingling since it's not easy making new friends out of strangers but go for it! I hope you find some others there and can start a new support chain for yourself. We cant do this alone, we need to be able to lean on others especially those who understand what we are going thru. In the mean time, we are here for you and if you can catch a ride with someone to the Altamonte Meet and Greet on 10/30, I know you would feel welcome and enjoy our company. Amy

Antoinette First off congratulations on your weightloss. I can relate to money and how hard it is to come by. Don't lose your faith in God...Remember with him all things can happen...Even plastic surgery and new clothes...It is obvious you work very hard for what you have and bless you for putting your child first...I will keep you in my prayers...Dont give up and dont be sad. kirsten

Antoinette, I am sorry to hear you are so sad. I haven't had the surgery yet. But I can sympathize w/ what you are going through. Just an idea, if you are on-line alot, I have read about clothing exchanges were people that no longer where certain sizes will give them to you for free I think all you pay is shipping. Or you can go to good will. At least until you can save up some money. Well take care and just remember how much healthier you are.

So many people wish they were in your shoes to have gone from a size 32 to a 14. I hope you can find it in you somewhere to rejoice over your blessings. In the meantime, it sounds like you could use more support and maybe a little help for depression! I hope you can find the help you need, but you're a determined woman, so I believe you will! Jan

I want to congratulate you on your weight loss. I also want to say I know the feeling of being a single mom. Never seems to be enough $$ to go around let alone buy such things as clothing for you. But remember there are times when putting together just a few dollars can help with the clothes thing. I am having surgery Tues. in Jacksonville and the group I go to DOES use the clothes exchange. If I were you I would definately check the online one and then find you a support group that works for you. Support groups sometimes get too comfortable with just who is in them and they forget to welcome the new ones but I am sure it isn't personal. Just find a group that you can relate to. Ask your doctor's staff about the ones close enough for you to go to. Don't get down, you are doing great. Just keep getting on this board. They will help keep you going on the bad days. We do care Carol

I HAVEN'T HAD MY SURGERY YET BUT I'VE BEEN APPROVED. I WEIGHT 274 POUNDS AND I'VE ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS FINDING CLOTHES TO FIT BUT I LEARNED HOW TO SEW A LONG TIME AGO. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW FAR A CHEAP PEICE OF CLOTH GOES. EVEN COLORFUL SHEETS CAN MAKE AN OUTFIT OUT OF THIS WORLD. I'VE MADE AN OUTFIT FOR 5 DOLLARS AND GO OUT AND EVERYONE WANT TO KNOW WHERE I BOUGHT IT FROM. USE YOUR IMAGINATION AND THE REST IS EASY. YOU CAN TAKE YOUR BIG CLOTHES AND MAKE DIFFERENT DESIGNS IN SMALLER SIZES.IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO SEW, LEARN HOW, THEY HAVE ALL KINDS OF EASY PATTERNS AND YOU CAN FIND SEWING MACHINES ALL DAY LONG AT YARD SALES AND SECOND HAND STORES. BE YOUR OUR DESIGNER. STOP FEELING SORRY FOR YOURSELF AND GET TO SEWING!!!! GLENDA
