Yesterday we found out what many of you considered your first job. Today let's find out what is your current job. If you are retired (jealous), what did you do? If you are a student, what are you studying to aspire to be? I am currently a Team Manager of 23 reps for Bank One (soon to be Chase) credit card services, my team handles many cards, including the Disney Visa card and Starbucks Duetto Visa. In November, I will have my 5th anniversary there. I was hired into a management position based on my many (far too many years in department store management, 14 yrs with Burdines and a few other years with some others stores). I enjoy what I do, epescially the 4 weeks vacation and other bank holidays off ! Have a great day, Friends! Amy

I started to answer this question yesterday in my post. I've worked in nursing homes for over 30 years now. I'm the Marketing Director of Life Care Center of Ocala, a skilled nursing facility in Ocala. It's a nursing home and a rehabilitation center and by far, most of the patients I admit go home. The job is called different things depending on where you work, and it could be called hospital liaison, care manager, case manager or admissions coordinator. Whatever it's called, I go to the hospitals and assisted living facilities and assess patients for admission. I discuss our programs, talk to the patients, families, doctors or whoever. I've been doing this for about 10 years and I love what I do! Jan

Kim, I have no doubt that having surgery will change your current status. Stay positive and it will happen. Amy

For many years I have been a at home mom...I have 3 kids, 12, 6, and almost 2 1/2 years. I do go to school but I took off last summer and this fall for the surgery...the summer was to spent time with my kids just in case I didn't make it, fall was to lose weight and get use to my new way of living before school. Oh I am studying to be an RN this time, already have my degree in Human Services and studied basic X-Ray tech but let my license expire. Tracey

I also have to review criteria of the patients to make sure they meet criteria to be in the hospital based on Medicare and the various insurance companies. Sooooo I get to deal with the rat bast...d...insurance companies almost daily...grrrrr....But I love my job. I get to spend alot of time with the patients and when they say...I think I made a mess I just say "I will tell your nurse"...lol

Good morning. I am a mother of two teenage daughters 16 &18 (both in college, living at home) I am a caretaker for my husband who is a disabled veteran and I am a freelance writer. Mostly, I guess you could call us retired. I owned and operated restaurants. (started out in Waffle Houses) Before that, my husband and I owned a landscaping and tree service in Atlanta Georgia and Bradenton, Florida. I have been a "Jill of Trades" I guess most my life. Many enterprises, both good and bad. Now I just keep busy with family and write short articles, mostly humor about real life. Hope you all have a great day. Carol

I am one of those retired folks. Retired at 57, had way too many years dealing with criminals. Worked in state law enforcement for 23 years. I was a late starter in the work force. Went to collage in my 30's and then into law enforcement. I did enjoy the work the first few years. When it got to the point people were numbers and the stress level was beyond control, I retired. Never looked back. Now seems like it happened to someone else. Is the same with many of my friends that retired from same type of job. Many had to take medical retirements. This was about the time our Governor came into office. Was a stressful time in my line of work. I was a supervisor of officers for the last 17 of the 23 years.

I am an executive assistant for the Snr.V.P. of Parsons Corporation, in Orlando (anyone seen the movie "Anger Management"??!! ) Parsons is a multinational engineering company; it was rated, a few years back, No.1 in the industry world wide. Don't really know where we are now, but we should be in the top 5 at least. A few of our many projects are: NY homeland security, design/reconstruct in Iraq and the Florida High Speed Rail. I've been here for 4 years. Like the location, it is right across Lake Eola, and a block or two from everything else in downtown! My commute is tough, though... 45 minutes in/out. I also attend college full-time at night (University of Phoenix on campus)... It's a hard schedule to keep, specially with a 6 year-old little girl, but someone's gotta do it!! Flavia
